Different Types of Specialty Powder Coating

Specialty powder coatings are powder coatings that meet all coating needs. Three common types are:

Alesta SPEED has a thermosetting coating that protects and decorates finishes on metal substrates. They have the following characteristics:

  • Has a good flow
  • Standard durability
  • Curing conditions that include medium IR, induction, near-infrared and combined IR

It has various advantages that meet customer requirements. Availability in different colors which are attractive, TGIC-free, highly flexible, fast cure thermosetting and availability in matt smooth finish are all some of these advantages. Characteristics and advantages of Alesta SPEED make applicable in coil coating, refrigerators, dryers, washing machines, ceiling tiles, roofing, sheets, cassettes, building facades and sandwich panels.

Alesta UV uses a technology known as ultra violet curing. It has a possibility of low temperatures hence substrates that are temperature sensitive can use this coating. In addition to this, it produces a much durable and attractive finish. The short cycle yields a fast throughput which suits MDF furniture.

Alesta NIR uses the near-infrared technology that provides customized solutions. This type of specialty powder coating is generally an innovative coating. These three types of coatings are widely used in construction and architectural industries as they improve their performance. They are all ecofriendly hence easy to apply them.
